Scroll Thief---New and Improved
I finished round two of Scroll Thief, graduated, and got a job! This was back in April, but I've been busy.

Scroll Thief (working title) Demo
Demo of the game I made for one of my classes. Special thanks to Josh Cotton for his improvements to the ninja and guard models, and to Melissa Smith for her help with many models and textures. Originally the player was going to have to fight the boss, rather than simply get past it, but I ran out of time.

That's Right, a Ninja
I'm making a video game from scratch for a class project. This is the model I made for the player character.

Stone-burrowing Bug
The last project in my 3D class. We were to design a custom insect and place it in an environment. We never got to critique them in class, so if you have any notes for me, post a comment so I can fix it before I submit this in my portfolio. You can see the textures better if you click to see its full size.

"Grisly Finale"
Final project for Joe Olson's drawing class. The turtle is McGreggor's sidekick/occasional weapon. McGreggor never wrestles in the "pansy American leagues" where it's just a show.

Tribal Redo
This is a redo of my urban toy project with the added theme of "Tribal". As you can see, it barely resembles the old one at all, which I think is a good thing. I'm going to fix the weird hip-like bump.
Please add your own captions.

The First 47 Tries
This isn't supposed to be a legitimate piece, but if it were, that would be the title and you could suppose that it represents all the thought and work (and frustration) that goes into design. This is just an exercise in value where we took a piece of paper, crumpled it up, uncrumpled, and drew. Click to zoom.

Topplin' Turtle
Theme: Beasts of burden of the craggy peaks of Oppenlander.
I just realized that my last two projects involve big objects tipping to the right.
Caber tossed!
Theme: Iconic ancestral character as an urban toy.
I have a lot of Scottish ancestors on both sides of my family.
This guy needs one more pass to make him more toy like.

Star Wars short
This is the junky youtube version. I have a high quality one somewhere. This was a project for my 11th grade multimedia design class.

Texture swatches
A beastly project, but a good exercise. From top left reading like a book: Bike tire tread (at angle), strawberry, fuzzy caterpillar, carpet, toothbrush, wood, tortoise shell, pine cone, handgun grip.

More from the proportion project

These are four examples of how exaggerating different facial features has different effects on the character.
